Sai Rosa Foundation was established and registered on February 8th, 2012 by its original Trustees who have since resigned.
On the 31st of July 2018, new Trustees and a Company Secretary were appointed during a general meeting. Only two Trustees are remaining and they are:
The organization’s activities are conducted by like-minded Indians, both of whom have lived up to six decades in Nigeria, and are desirous of giving back to the community where they have spent most of their lives. These like-minded Indians are assisted by Nigerian volunteers and Indian Volunteers, who are referred to as Ambassadors. The philanthropic activities of the foundation rely on the kindness and generosity of all those who contribute their money, time and expert services. The initial work of Sai Rosa Foundation was traditionally involved with mass-feeding of the poor and needy.
Sai Rosa Foundation was introduced to the Paediatrics Department of Lagos University Teaching Hospital (LUTH) in March 2018. From May 2018 up till date, SRF have assisted and supported children financially to pay their medical bills in Paediatrics Department of LUTH.
Sai Rosa Foundation strengthened its Board by inviting Dr. (Mrs.) Ngo Iyagba to join SRF in November 28, 2018 as a Medical Consultant for their Medical Care Unit. Dr. (Mrs.) Ngo Iyagba introduced SRF to Mrs. Olufunso Owasanoye who subsequently introduced SRF to the Paediatrics Department of LUTH.
Sai Rosa Foundation registered with the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Special Control Unit against Money Laundering (SCUML). SRF complied with all requirements, and in accordance with the Special Control Unit against Money Laundering acts 2011 (as amended). Subsequently on the 5th of March, 2018, EFCC issued a Special Control Unit against Money Laundering (SCUML) Certificate of Registration (RN:SC 251403732) to Sai Rosa Foundation.
The Company Secretaries of Sai Rosa Foundation is Cautious Services Limited and the Auditors of Sai Rosa Foundation are Abimbola Odusanya & Co. Sai Rosa Foundation through the Company Secretaries, files annual returns to the Corporate Affairs Commission in Abuja. Sai Rosa Foundation through its Auditors prepare audited balance sheets annually, which are available to donors.
The current activities of Sai Rosa Foundation include the following:
Twice weekly feeding of 400 families with 400 palliatives of dry food, comprising of 14 items and weighing 5kilograms of palliatives
Annual feeding of 4 villages in different parts of Southern Nigeria. 500 palliatives are donated to 500 families per village, whilst 300 solar lamps are donated to 300 children per village, so that they can use the solar lamps to study at night
Provision of medical care (including but not limited to cancer care) to the poor and needy. Paying medical bills of those children from poor families that cannot afford to pay medical bills of their children at the Paediatrics Department of LUTH.
Creating workshops in association with our existing partners to sensitize and train young teenage girls on menstrual hygiene. During these workshops and/or seminars, we distribute hundreds of sanitary pads to hundreds of teenage girls.
